"This product is wonderful. I've used Mary Kay most of my adult life and wanted to try a mineral makeup but not pay a huge amount for it. I tried Mineral Effects and have been more than pleased. The color matches great and I don't have breakouts like I did with a liquid makeup. I am over 50 and will continue using this makeup for a long time."

I love this product

"I am starting to get some little lines under my eyes. I had tried another brand of mineral makeup, but had not been really pleased with how it looked on me.
I bought this product as an impulse purchase when I was in a Sally store to purchase something else. I am really glad I purchased this makeup. It feels really light on my skin, not cakey and does not highlight the tiny lines under my eyes...."

"Since I am getting old, I wasn't sure about the loose powder mineral make-up. After trying two other brands, and not being overly impressed with them, I saw your Femme Couture Mineral Effects Mineral Makeup. It is very reasonably priced, and I tried it. The Only Cover up that Works!

Pros: nothing out there like it and at a low price too.
"I'm 55 years old. And I have tried every product out there! Nothing ever helped me. I have oily skin and all my life failed at finding a product that didn't make me break out worse. since using sally products for cleansing and covering my skin. nothing works like ABH cleansing products and Femme Contour mineral makeup. It makes me look years younger, and my skin looks and feels wonderful. If you ever doughted before you won't have using these two products. thank you sally Beauty for all your great help with staff and products."

Great 52 Years Young Faces

"My face is 52 years young. As I got older, makeup seemed to look strange on my face. My skin is in excellent condition with no wrinkles or creases, but it doesn't look 20 either. I started trying to adjust my eyeliner color, base makeup, moisturizer, etc. When one day...a lady at my local Sally Beauty showed me Mineral Effects Mineral Makeup. This powder has become the best thing to happen to my skin in 30 years. It evens out the skin colors without looking like makeup, is light and airy, and doesn't clog my pores. Without having to completely remove my makeup before going from work to dinner to prevent splotchy looking color, all I have to do is a quick touch-up after a long day. Now I can go another 30 years before adjusting my makeup again. Thanks so much..."

"Over the past 5-6 yrs, I have tried almost every mineral makeup on the market, both private label and drugstore. This has to be the best of them all. Before, I could never find a shade that matched, having to buy two different shades and blend them. I am basically fair skinned with a tan and the honey bisque is an exact match and I don't have to waste a lot of time to blending two shades together to get the shade I need. Getting ready for work in the mornings just got a little easier. Goes on well and lasts all day. The price is more than reasonable the product is excellent. I'm sold."

"I ran out of the mineral foundation I usually use, so I stopped in Sally and picked this up. I have a feeling I'll be switching brands. I love the large selection of shades. I bought it in "champagne." I think next time I'll go a shade lighter, but overall it works for me. Covers better than the brand I was using, I think."

Best Foundation Ever

"This is an excellent makeup for all skin types. I have used numerous foundations in the past, an have found them blotchy, and un-natural looking. This product covers flawlessly and stays put throughout the day. No matter how much I sweat there is never any streak marks. My skin has also improved. I have experienced less breakouts and have gotten a number of complements on my complexion since switching to this product."

"I actually bought the Bare Minerals starter kit before finding out about Sally's collection. I got low on the all over powder and was thrilled when I found out Sally's had their own type. I've always known Sally's to put out great products, so I didn't even think twice about trying it. The illumination powder is what I bought because it looked nearly as light as the all over powder. The only thing I want to mention for those switching over is the powder is a little darker than Bare Minerals all over, but it's close enough to work. Sally's mineral make up is deffinately a pocket book friendly choice. I don't have to compromise my makeup standards in order to have affordable makeup."

"i bought this stuff because i wanted to try out mineral makeup without spending a fortune on it. this was relatively cheap compared to other products, and it's from sally's, and i trust what i buy from sally's more that what i would buy from a random drugstore. the first time i put it on, i put on too much and it looked terrible, but i got better at applying it as time went on. the covereage is light, but it's strange, because even though you can still see my pimples and/or acne scars, my skin looks good. my pores are minimized, which i did not expect from a powder foundation, and everything looks evened out a bit. any redness that i have, from my skin being perhaps irritated from my acne products or slightly red from the sun just seems to disappear when i put this on. however, the lightest color appears to be slightly too dark for my skintone, and the finish looks kind of shiny. since it's summer, i'll probably tan a little bit and the color should match better and i've found that if i put a little bit of my old pressed powder over top of the mineral effects, it tones down the shine. since my skin is oily, it looks kind of weird when the oil starts seeping through the makeup, especially on my nose, but i just blot a bit with blotting papers or even just a paper towel or tissue and it gets better without removing all of the makeup. another downer is that this foundation seems to turn slightly orange and even darker throughout the day, which is never good. however, the most amazing part is that i have actually slept in this makeup, and not woken up with new zits all over my face. i could not do that with ANY other makeup i have EVER used before. if i did, i would wake up with two or three lovely new pimples on my skin, but this does not break me out at all. in fact, i used my old oil control foundation for one day when i needed more coverage, and at the end of the day, i could see and feel a few new zits forming on my face. despite the cons, i will definitely continue to use this, since it really seems to be good for my skin, and i will try to find a way to get around the cons, or at least overlook them."

"i love this product!!! when ever i use this product i can really tell the difference and it makes my skin look smooth. You cant even tell when its on because it looks so natural. My friends always ask me how do you make your skin look so beautiful just like the stars. And I always recommend this product. If you DON'T want beautiful healthy skin that looks natural and smooth then this is not the product for you!!"
