The Best!
Date:June 25, 2012
"I LOVE these things! Celeb stylist Ted Gibson recommended ponytail hooks like these for girls with big textured hair, and he was so right. I have thick curly hair and these are sooo much easier for me to wrap around my hair than traditional ponytail holders. The best part about them Is I never lose any hair when I take them out. To use them, hook the first hook into your hair, then hook the second one around the elastic. They do take a while to get used to, but once you know how to use them they're great! Now that I have these I rarely use regular ponytail holders."

I Just Don't Know

"I'm not quite sure WHAT to make of these things. I still haven't figured out how to use them without getting my hair stuck in the hooks which is a PAIN to remove. Also when I try to connect the hooks and then stretch around my hair that isn't working either because the band is SUPER tight! I'm just about ready to give up on these things *sigh* I have medium length thick 4b hair."

Must Have
Date:January 16, 2012
Pros: no more snagging of the hair, no more over stretching bands, great for updos that you need to last
Cons: expensive
"When you use these correctly they are awesome. I have packs upon packs of elastics for my hair. Got tired of them losening up. and pulling my Almost Hip Length hair through it. These off me a Neat pony tail tight and I leave my pony in for a week with no issues. :)
I use them 2 ways but mostly by gripping the pony hooks into each other so they snag. YOu could grip the hair in a anchor format and it does stay secure. I don't want the pressure so I hook them into one another. NO losening at all and they do what they promise. Try them out in various ways they work."

worthless

"These are the dumbest hair ties I have ever used. Not only are they extremely difficult to use, but when you do use them they always come unhooked and fall out."

Excellent for long or thick hair
Date:May 23, 2011
"I have very thick hair to my hips which I like to wear high in the middle of the back of my head, and this product is a time and hair saver.
Usually, I would have to pull lengths and lengths of my hair through tiny loops in elastics, and it would always end up that I had too much elastic (and so it would fall out) or too little (and so I couldn't pull it through without a struggle).
I didn't expect these to do much, but they've actually made my mornings much easier. Because I can hold my ponytail securely while I twist it around it, it ends up very snug to the head (none of that droopy pony with the unsightly puff underneath it...goodness I hate that!). And when I want to take them out, I just unhook and they pop out. They sometimes do get their little hooks stuck in my hair, but they're just an open hook so it's not hard to remove.
I can see why these might not work for someone whose ponytail is very thin, but I think they ought to work well for anyone with very thick hair. I do wish they were a bit cheaper though as I tend to lose them.
It takes a little practice to get used to putting these in. Make sure to wash any lotion or whatever off of your hands because the little metal hooks can get slippery!"

Useless
Date:March 23, 2011
"The ponytail hooks do not keep tight and fall outo fmy hair quickly. I don't find they are worththe money. They are only a marketing gimmick. So sad I love new toys!"
