"I bought this product because I have really thick hair and a perm. It took out the perm and my hair stays straight even after I wash and dry it. It cuts down on the frizz and leaves my hair feeling soft and managable."

Totally Amazing Date: January 3, 2009
"I have thick, curly, chlorine damaged, and bleached hair. So I went through about ten flat irons before going to Sally's. I did so much research but all the Conair ones failed and destroyed my hair. I read an article in Glamour magazine saying tourmaline was the way to go. And a girl at my school said Sally's was the place to go. I went and found this one and it is INCREDIBLE!!! I've had it for probably two years and I use it every day with no fail. It gets my hair really shiny and straight. At this point no one believes me when I say I have naturally curly hair. This was the best thing I have ever purchased for my hair.
A little tip though, flat iron with a flat brush turned up and keep hair taut, it can get even my curliest strands in one try."

Pros: heats up fast, great long lasting results, glides through hair, not a lot of damage
Cons: snags hair, heater goes out fast, turns itself off

"I've had this straightener for about ten months now, and the heater went out. I've gone through about four of these in the past three years, although it gives great results, while it lasts, I really dislike having to spend the money to buy a new one every 8-12 months. I've also had issues with two of them turning them selves off in the middle of being used if you turn them on too much of an angle."

AUTUMN

MIRACLE STRAIGHTENING IRON Date: November 28, 2008
Pros: easy 2 use, 1 dial 2 set temp., straight hair lasts all day long
Cons: a little pricey, usually go thru 1 a yr.

"This iron is a God-send literally. I am a caucasion female with a huge mess on my head...my hair is kinda allmost afro like after i blow it dry. My ends split easily, my texture is real rough unruly naturally curly/frizzy extremely hard to straighten hair. It would never stay straight for 5 mins. let alone a whole day thru until i finally found this bad boy! This iron is definately where its at! Anyone with hard 2 handle hair, i would totally recomend this iron! It transforms my hair completely into healthy straight sleek looking hair. After use, i can hang with the rest of the girls who have pin straight hair without even having 2 retouch any sections! It is very easy to use, just 1 dial 4 the heat settings and it cuts the styling job in less than half of the time i would spend trying 2 tame my hair! I have tried several others, more expensive and no other can compare! i use it with the ionic straightening spray and off i go...luv it highly recomend this iron!"

greatest beauty product i've ever purchased Date: November 26, 2008
Pros: easy to use, heats up quickly, great quality for the price, tames the frizz

"i bought this flat iron not having much hope because ive tried many flat irons and they always leave my hair with the same results - frizz. So i got home heated this baby up and oh my god my frizz has been tamed! It is very easy to use and the quality is unmatched by any other flat iron i have used. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a flat iron. You will not be disappointed!"

I took it back Date: November 22, 2008
Pros: high heat
Cons: snagged hair, hot plastic outside, hard to read setting

"This iron snagged/pulled my hair. I wish I had read the reviews before I bought it. It did get good and hot, but the plates didn't touch in all areas. It also gave me alot of stray flyaway hairs right at my part. I've never had that happen before. Also, the temperature numbers on the little dial were so small I couldn't even read them. Anyways, I returned it today and brought home the GVP. We'll see how it goes..."

Excellent Date: November 17, 2008
Pros: good price, smooth/shiny hair, easy to use
Cons: broke after one year

"I like this flat-iron, it makes my hair really soft and beauty without the damage. The only thing I do not like is after about 1 year the spring came out of it and it would not open and close, it just stayed shut. Other than that it did wonders to my hair, I have the black plated one which came w/ the free little red dryer and now and I have 1 1/4" red plated one because it came with the the the big red dryer I have been wanting."

Straightens, but Snags Date: November 12, 2008
Cons: snags hair

"I bought this as a set with the Jilbère 2000 watt hairdryer. The hairdryer works great and I highly recommend it. The flat iron on the other hand snags. My hair is in pretty good condition and it is colored. It does straighten, but the snag is concerning because it sounds like it is snapping my hair. The last thing I want is more tugging on my hair first thing in morning! I'm taking it back in search of something else."

Really Nice . Date: November 11, 2008
Pros: gets hot fast
Cons: a little pricey

"Ilove this flat iron its my second flat iron & my last iron was cheap & didnt do really good . But this iron is really good , it doesnt leave that "burnt" smell or anything ; well unless you put to much product in your hair but if you put a little oil or leave in conditioner your hair will come out looking great !"

Love it! Date: November 9, 2008
"I'm African-American with the thickest, curliest hair ever and I love this flat iron! I can do my own weave maintenance because of how straight I can get my hair with this iron. It gets hot and stays hot super fast and gets my hair (and the Indian hair I use for my weaves) SUPER straight. LOVE IT!"

Flat Iron Date: October 13, 2008
Pros: heats well
Cons: snags your hair

"I received this flat iron in the mail a few weeks ago. I didn't really care for it. It snagged my hair a lot!! On the plus side, it does hear very well, and does straighten well. I just don't like the pulling of my hair, so I'm going to try another brand. My daughter however, loves it for her hair!"

Pros: last long, makes hair smooth and straight, high setting for ethnic hair
Cons: pricey

"I have been using this straightner for a really long time i have thickish wavy hair and i use it on about a 30-35 setting the 40 setting is for african american hair and shouldnt be used on anything else..trust me XD, but it does what it says and i have yet to see a huge amount of damage in my hair, remember to use a heat protectant"

The best flat Iron around Date: July 17, 2008
"I have purched many flat irons and did not have much sucess in getting the look that we (my daughter's) and I were looking for, until now. My daughter's and I are of mixed race and have very curly thick hair. I was able to get some flat irons to work for me but with frizzy results, non of them worked for my daughter's hair they have more african american hair than I and this iron works wonders with they're hair as well as mine. It staightens with little effort and leave our hair shinny and frizz free."

I love this flat iron Date: July 9, 2008
"This is a great flat iron. I have long, thick curly hair and it only takes me about 20 minutes to iron my hair perfectly straight(using the highest setting). I run it through the section of hair maybe twice. It stays straight for days (although i do have to touch it up on the ends a bit each day). It also does not snag and pull my hair as others I have purchased. My daughter uses it and she has thick layered hair and it works great for hers. When used with a protection product, this flat iron is worth every penny and an excellent alternative to a Chi which is triple the price."

you get what you pay for... Date: June 17, 2008
Pros: it was free with my dryer
Cons: snags hair, plates don't touch completely

"i got this flat iron free with the matching tourmaline dryer. i've had it about a year now. the plates themselves are fine, but my hair gets snagged between the plates and the plastic housing. the iron is cheaply made, and it didn't take long for the handles to become warped so that the plates no longer clamp flat together."
