"This shampoo is EXCELLENT for cleansing the scalp. You can feel the cooling sensation of the menthol on the scalp and it feels great!! Not an overwhelming scent to it and it doesn't linger on the hair anyway. Great for use after taking out braids or a stationary hair style and you want a good, deep clean without having the hair feel stripped and straw-like."

Great Product

Pros: cleanses and exfoliates scalp. detangles hair, makes hair manageable and clean
"I have used this shampoo several times and have found it to work extremely well. I suggest washing hair first with the olive oil creamy aloe shampoo then follow with the uplifting shampoo. I then follow with the hair mayonnaise to condition and blow dry with carrot oil for moisture. I suggest following these steps exactly and your hair will be amazing."

"I only use this after using Organic Root Stimulator scalp scrub which it does good for that purpose and that is only time I use it. Once a month when doing scalp srub only to remove oils and dirt from hair."

Pros: great smell, deep cleaning, conditioners, thickens, regrows
"Great shampoo to deap clean your hair and scalp. It tingles and refreshes specially good for people with dandruff. I started using this shampoo while I was growing my hair out to donate. Specifically this shampoo helps the health of your hair so when it grows it comes in thicker. It's also really good for those people who have fried their hair with chemicalls because of the conditioners added in. Highly recomended for daily use."

"I am an AA with thick/coarse, shoulder length hair and I relax my own hair (Organics Root S. reg. perm). I have "sworn" by Organic Root Stimulator products for the last 3 years and have noticed a change for the WORSE in my hair. I will be 1000% honest b/c I can hopefully help someone else. Not only have I used O.R.S., I have also used ApHogee (All ApHogee products - even the vitamins). Either a combination of the two OR one of these products has damaged my hair and changed the texture.
When I use the Uplifting Shampoo, I NEVER get a lather. I use one bottle in almost 4-5 washes because I can't get a lather!!! And yes, I feel a tingle for a min. or two DURING the wash, and after that, I feel NOTHING. I'm not sure what this shampoo is "supposed" to do, but it does NOTHING for me. Instead of using this shampoo, I have found that Sulphur 8 Shampoo (yellow top) is the best!!!!!! It doesn't smell the best, but it is GREAT for the scalp!!!!! Use Sulphur 8 for the scalp and follow it with either Cream of Nature Ultra Moist. Shampoo or Generic Moisturizing Shampoo."

Great For Itchy Scalp

"I used this last year after a beautician failed to wash a protein treatment throughly from my hair. After the first time of using this product my scalp was quickly relieved from itch & soreness due to all the scratching. The menthol provided a cool/tingling sensation to my scalp which was a nice surprise. The only con would be the smell: a medicinal scent that I cant tolerate for too long. Don't get me wrong, the product cleans your scalp, but ORS needs to tweak that scent."

Pros: enjoy the tingle and softness
"This is good stuff. I use this when I am doing the whole 5 Step ORS Treatment for the slow growth at my crown area. Since I have been using the Uplifting shampoo, I enjoy that tingle that it gives my scalp and it has made my hair feel extra soft when I leave it on at the maximum of minutes then rinse."

Pros: feels nice on scalp
Cons: smells clinical, doesn't keep dandruff away, costs too much to do so little
"I never really had a problem with dandruff until recently so I didn't really know what to try. I wasn't sure the "regular" stuff would work on relaxed/ethnic hair so I turned to this shampoo. Long story short, it did nothing for the flakes or itching. It did tingle and feel pretty cool, but for all the bells and whistles, I was disappointed when my dandruff seemed to worsen. I recently tried the "regular" stuff and what a surprise.... It worked (and smells 100% nicer)! Lesson: never judge a shampoo by its label!"

"I use this shampoo to get rid of product build up. My hair and scalp feel great and clean but not squeaky clean and stripped of natural oils. The tingle is refreshing. I follow up with theur olive oil replenishing pack. wonderful!"
