Pros: bluing (no brass), gentle on hair, gentle on scalp, quick lifting
"I'm currently a cosmetology student and have been colouring my mom's hair at school for the last few months. The lightener that we use at school is good, but it never seems to be able to break through that brassy, gold tone. It never comes out looking bad, but my mom favours the cooler blonde tones, so the honey shade her highlights come out isn't exactly her cup of tea.
Doing her hair at school was becoming a bit of a hassle, so we stopped by Sally's this evening and picked up some products to try out at home. One of these was the Ion Color Brilliance Powder Lightener. I used it for her foil highlights and they came out phenomenal. They're the perfect cool, platinum-y blonde hue and they didn't take any time at all to pull to the exact lightness we were looking to achieve. I am so blown away by this product! The bluing really kicked butt in busting through that gold and she is so happy with her colour! It also left her hair feeling great. It didn't dry it out or break it off the way some lighteners have been known to. All in all, this is the best lightener I have ever used and would be the first product I would recommend to anyone looking to get a beautiful platinum blonde without all the damage."

My Favorite Bleach!

Pros: didnt burn my scalp, awsome smell compaired to other bleach, lightens hair fast Cons: none!
"I used many types of bleach before but i have to say that this is now my favorite! I was so excited to get this home and start using it. I used this bleach with 30 Volume Ion developer and raised my medium dark brownish hair to a light yellow color in just two bleachings! With a toner my hair is now Platinum:) It didn't burn my scalp and the smell was amazing compared to other bleaches! I HIGHLY recommend this product!"

"After my initial dissapointment of the woman in the store getting on my nerves, I was very excited to get home and bleach my hair. After 1 application and a toner my hair was blonde (naturally light) I am not seeing alot of breakage or anything that wasn't already there. My hair is dry to begin with and some breakage but this was really gentle bleaching!"

Really Good bleach

Pros: very gentle on my hair, contains bluing, smells okay not gross like some, had conditioners protects hair. Cons: none!
"I used this with the Ion brand developer. This has bluing in it to help avoid very brassy tones. I always have bad luck pulling all the brassyness out without wrecking my hair. This did better than most and was very gentle on my hair. The last time I had my hair bleached, I went to the salon. The salon bleach job really damaged my hair, I had terrible split ends which had to be cut off- I lost 2 inches! I haven't found a split end yet since using this product. I will definitely use this again."
