"I needed a ceramic iron with an adjustable temperature, but I didn't want to spend over $100. Since I'm a lover of Silk Elements products, I had to jump on this, especially seeing that it had solid ceramic plates and had great reviews so far!
I used it on my relaxed, permananently colored hair along with the Silk Elements Mega-Silk Leave-In Conditioner as a protectant and was pleasantly surprised: silky with lots of shine and movement!"

Just as good as my Chi!
Date: September 26, 2008
Pros: low price, quality solid ceramic plates, extended plate length Cons: not a fan of the leopard print
"I have owned a Chi flat iron for a few years now, and I loved it. Unfortunately, the iron broke and it is no longer under warranty, so I had to buy a new one. I bought the Chi on eBay and got a good deal, but this time around I didn't even have the money to buy one used. So, I went to Sally's to try one of those irons I kept seeing there. I bought the cheapest one I could find that had solid ceramic plates, and for once, being annoyingly cheap paid off!
I have to say that I do not like this pattern myself, but it works so well that I could care less what it looks like. It really does work just as well as my Chi did. If you are looking for an iron that will get your hair pin straight without ruining it or taking five hours, this is the one for you. Buy it, already."

Best Straightener I have ever bought!
Date: September 13, 2008
Pros: very hot, awesome at curling, cute design, easy to use, doesn't tug hair, plates extended, squeeze sensitive
"I've been through many straighteners, about 5 to be exact and they have all had terrible faults. Either they didn't get hot enough, were too skinny, had a short in them, or were cheaply made. But this one truly exceeded my expectations. The extended plates really come in handy when you're wanting to straighten thicker sections of hair, and it also gets the job done faster. It has an awesome little design on it and it gets very hot and sustains it very well. Another good thing is that it's plates easily slide through hair, without little pieces getting stuck in the sides, and the plates actually are on springs so that not a lot of pressure is put on your hair. Another wonderful thing about this straightener is that it curls hair like a dream! I have always had trouble curling my hair because it would take so long with all the hair I had, but this one gets it done in such a fast amount of time you wouldn't believe it! The curls hold well too; even with my hair being sort of heavy it still held up. I would proudly recommend this straightener to anyone. I bought it on sale for $25 but even if it's not and it's going for the full $40, I would still recommend it."
