Very Good Date: August 18, 2008
Pros: inexpensive, easy to use
Cons: can get messy

"It's a really great warmer, especially for the price. We used it in school and it tended to get VERY messy when all the girls were using it all day long. It's easily cleaned, though, which is a good thing. The lid tends to slide off easily, but the temperature gage is amazingly accurate and very good. Put that baby right in the middle (between the red and green lights) and you're good to go. We went through at least two of these through beauty school, but only because it got so messy that it stopped working."

Pros: inexpensive

"I love being able to wax myself. It works as well as the salon kits do. I don't have to make an appointment, I just wax when I have time. It is very economical as well."

Good warmer but some concerns.. Date: July 11, 2008
Pros: temperature control, has a lid!
Cons: big machine, price

"This was my first wax machine. After a year, it pretty much stopped working (sniff, sniff!). But this may have been my fault, and I still am not sure why. I think it could've been because of the lid. If the machine is not COMPLETELY cooled off (including the wax), the lid may keep it warm even when you put it away. This could result in the wax spilling slightly. Though I don't think that was ultimately the way my machine died, the wax did spill often because of this, and it IS hard to clean.

I recommend getting a wax cleaning product if you purchase this machine, and I think the machine shouldn't be moved often, nor kept near a shower. With saying that, the machine should be very useful. I really enjoyed being able to control the heat. When I purchased this machine, not only was it on sale, but I got free items with it. That made it worth the price, but otherwise, I would say to buy the smaller machine. In the long run, the value of the smaller one is better and works just as well!

Warnings with use of wax machines:
Don't keep it out when you aren't using it! The steam from the shower may eventually hurt the product and warm up the wax when it doesn't need to be! This happened to me before, and I believe that's how some wax ended up spilling on my machine when it wasn't in use and someone moved it."
