"I am a 4B Natural and I had been neglecting my hair and it needed repair. I bought this on the fly and used it after a co-wash. Left it on for half an hour under a cap and dryer and rinsed. My hair was so soft I didn't think it was my hair. For the next week it was hard to keep my hands out of my hair. I now use this product once a week as a deep con from 10-20 min at a time under a cap (I only use dryer if I really want to give my hair some TLC). Hair is stronger, softer and there's less breakage :)"

"Alright, let me start off by saying my hair is outrageously curly, and thin. I've used so much water in gel in my lifetime, and I never knew how to take care of it; it was always dry and abused but honestly this product makes it a little bit easier to handle. I could not believe how softer and more manageable my hair became just after one use. I actually switch to this instead of using regular conditioner and if I really want a DEEP condition I just leave in longer. It is definitely worth the price, and it smells great."

"Although this product has mineral oil in it, it gives a wonderful slip and it is extremely moisturizing. I leave this on for about an hour and enjoy the smell and softness of my hair for days"

"My hair is like straw from a lot of bleaching and dyeing, flat ironing etc... this thing is great, after I use it my hair feels soft, silky and healthy, if I don't use it my hair goes back to straw like so maybe it doesn't "fix" the damage (only scissors would) but it is great at hiding the damage every single time I use it, and that is good enough for me as I don't expect miracles considering all the abuse I did to my hair, anyways great product I would definitely buy this again, also my hair is very curly and frizzy and this deep conditioner gets rid of the frizz! awesome! I highly recommend this!"

"Way to go Silk Elements! I am please with this product. It smell so good and left my hair soft, moist and manage-able. I have tried many Cholesterol Conditioning Treatments which also gave me a bad itchy scalp, but none gave me the results like SE. Also, I didn't have an itchy scalp. I will be throwing away the old conditioning treatments and replacing it with new jars of SE! Also, I wish it came in a larger container."

"I have been using this product for a few years. It is very moisturizing and Rinses very well. It leaves the hair very silky and full of body does not weigh the hair down. It is great for weaves, natural or chemically treated hair."

Left hair so soft!

I recently bleached the bottom of my hair to do the ombre effect. My hair has always been soft, so when I bleached it I noticed the ends of my hair felt brittle. I bought this and applied it all over, especially to the ends of my hair. It left my hair so soft! I love this product!

"I have thick, coarse hair and I've tried all sorts of hair treatments and salon conditioners. But this is by far the best. I use it after shampooing and leave it in my hair for 2 mins and then rinse. I find that my hair is soft and shiny. I thought it would wear my hair down, but it doesn't. Also I have slightly wavy hair that tends to get frizzy. This conditioner has helped that as well. I recommend this product strongly along with the Argan Oil which is amazing too!"

"Let me first say that it is so hard to find this product in stores because it is always sold out at my local Sally's, so for me that was a good sign. "Wow" is what I said after using this conditioner. It made my hair soooo incredibly soft. This is the first at home conditoner that I have used that actually allowed me to comb through my hair with no problems. The comb easily ran through my coarse hair. It is worth waaay more than it is priced for. This will forever remain a staple in my hair regimen. I'll will say that I was a bit skeptical about the product and I didnt really like the consistency of it, but I applyed it all over my hair and allowed it to sit for 30 minutes and my hair was so soft and I couldnt stop touching it and today I still cant stop touching it! I love it! I just wished it came in a bigger container."

"My sister is a professional hair stylist (in another state) and told me to use REDKEN - Hair products (she that is what she prefers) and my hairstylist (where I live) told me to use PUREOLOGY - Hair products. Well sorry but I don't have tons of money just like alot of other people. So I asked my sister if she knew of a good product line that can be found at Sally's. She told me to use Silk Elements. She said it was a good product if I cannot afford the stuff from a Salon. So here I am writing a review for Silk Elements.
I came online and I read all the reviews before actually using this product, so needless to say I was very skeptical.
Firstly --- I did take something away from one previous review. They mixed this product with another conditioning product by Silk Elements to create an ULTRA MEGA conditioning system that ended up working for them. Everyone's hair is different and is needing different things. This is why we buy products to help with the needs we have.
What I did was I actually read the directions on the back. Other people said to leave on for 20 mins, etc. etc. And others complained that it was hard to wash out... Duh you left it on your head for 20 mins... it DRIED!!! So... I only left it on for 7 mins. Yes this product doesn't smell the best and yes your towel will smell after you dry your hair... Duh... you are putting product on your hair. Its not going to leave everything smelling like roses.
So... what I did was I mixed in a small container: 1/3 - Silk Elements Mega Cholesterol Conditioning Treatment (which doesn't smell that great), 1/3 - Silk Elements Megasilk Olive Moisturizing Treatment (which I LOVE the smell of), and 1/3 - Silk Elements Megasilk Olive Conditioner (which smells nice as well). I set the bowl aside as I got ready to work on my hair.
Got in the shower and immediately washed my hair with Silk Elements Megasilk Olive Shampoo. I washed it twice just to make sure my hair was clean and free from any build up. I when towel dried my hair and then applied the mixed for my conditioning treatment. I made sure there was ALOT of conditioner for all of my hair to be fully covered. I put my hair up and then took a shower.
My showers only last about 5 - 7 mins so when I was done I knew I was ready to rinse my hair out. I started with adding a little water and then agitating my hair. 2 mins after working over my hair in warm/hot water all of the product was out of my hair/scalp. I got out of the shower dried off and dried my hair. Then brushed my hair out. It was soooo easy to brush and my hair felt AMAZING! But still being skeptical I said to myself... Lets see for how it actually feels & looks like in the morning. No I didn't style my hair right after.. I didn't blow dry my hair... Nothing. Towel dry, brush, air dry, then went to bed.
So, I woke up the next morning and my hair still feels amazing!
Do I recommend Silk Elements??? You better believe it. The biggest thing is going in with no expectations... You need to make it your own and find out for what works for you.
I only rate this product as being 4 stars (Good) because I didn't use this product alone. Its cause I mixed it with other products I have used and like... just due to being skeptical from reading the BAD reviews I saw on here. Yes it smells - not so great - but Come on now... the product is called 'Cholesterol' which doesn't sound that appealing either. All I can say is try it.. If it works for you then awesome.. If not... You spent less than $5.00 on it and the time it takes to take a shower.
All In All, To Get My Hair Feeling Amazing It Cost Me A Total Of : $28.76 (Not Including Tax Or Specials). These products will be used by me until they are GONE. So firstly its not a one time thing and I'm doing it myself... So all in all.... WAY cheaper then going to a salon and have someone else do it once or maybe twice.

"I am in love with this conditioner. Didn't know how I would like a cholesterol conditoner as I thought it would leave my relaxed hair greasy. I decided to use this and mix it with Mega Silk Moisturizing Treatment from Silk Elements. The result was the best conditioning treatment my hair has ever had. Soft, strong and manageable. I highly recommend this combination as you get strenght from one and moisturizing from the other. My hair felt like butter and wasn't the least bit greasy. I am so glad it comes in a large size. They charge $10 extra at the salon
to give me a mixed deep conditioning treatment of a strengthener and moisturizer. Great for hair that has gone through any sort of shock. I know how harsh relaxers are on the hair. I read that chlorine and permanent color are even worse. Do yourself and your hair a favor. Buy this combination."

FABULOUS DEEP CONDITIONER

"Okay... I have long, wavy, somewhat coarse, and coloured hair. And I take good care of it. I 'Deep Condition' ('Nexxus Humectress') every week under my hair dryer; and a 'Protein Pack' ('Nexxus Emergencee') every six weeks before I go to the salon for a colour re-touch. I really do have lovely hair.
So, why am I writing this Review about 'Silk Elements Mega Cholesterol'? Because my husband also has long hair... and DOESN'T take care of it, *sigh*. Needless to say, it's brittle and dry, and suffers from being frizzy on the top of his head. His hair is thin, straight, and somewhat coarse. He's always fought me about 'fussing' with his hair, until it started shedding badly. Afraid of going bald, he finally acquiesced to my ministrations, *lol*.
I gave him a 'Protein-Pack' and 'Deep Condition' with my 'Nexxus' products under my hard-bonnet hair-dryer. The 'Protein-Pack' worked fine, but the 'Humectress Deep Conditioner' did not give me the results I was looking for on him. His hair was still dry and frizzy. Obviously, 'Nexxus Humectress' as a 'Deep Conditioner' was not for him.
I went to Sally's and found the 'Silk Elements Mega Cholesterol', and brought it home to give him another 'Deep Conditioning' treatment under the dryer. It's easy to apply because it's so thick... like a pudding. And even easier to comb thru towel-dried hair in order to distribute evenly. Then, 30-minutes under the dryer and, WOW!, did this stuff ever leave his hair silky soft, wet or dry. Dryness gone. Frizz gone.
And, as an added bonus, he's actually got some shine back in his hair! He has stopped shedding hair. Indeed, now he only has maybe two or three strands of hair in his comb after combing. I attribute this to both the strengthening 'Protein Pack' and moisturizing 'Deep Conditioning' treatments.
Of course, I then decided to try it on myself with my next 'Deep Conditioning' treatment, and, I'm happy to report that it works a heck-of-a-lot better than the 'Nexxus Humectress' I've been using all these years!
I'm sold... 'Silk Elements Mega Cholesterol' is for us. Our hair is soft, silky, moisturized, detangled, manageable, and shiny... just what a 'Deep Conditioning' treatment is supposed to do for one's hair. *vvvbs*"

"I have tried to use other products, because personally I got bored using the same thing, but this cholesterol is the best. I use this under a hooded dryer for about 20 minutes. My hair is so soft, yet strong when I'm rinsing it out. I blow dry and after I rinse, my hair is soft and full of body. Please never stop making this conditioner, because I would simply die without it...LOL."

"I don't usually take the time to write reviews. But this time I had to. I am one of those people who used cholesterol cons when I was younger because they were cheap but I was never impressed. This brand has officially changed my mind. Everyone's hair is different so I take the negative reviews on here as signs of that. This stuff stopped my breakage and made my hair soft like nothing else (including every expensive thing I usually run to). I have course 4b relaxed hair and this stuff is the truth!"

Good Protein Treatment

"This did a good job in my hair. I try to do protein treatments when I feel they are needed, (to help keep my hair strong and free of breakage). This does an overwell good job. I usually let it sit on my hair for about 20 minutes, and then rinse out. The results are pretty good."

"A the time i needed a d/c that was going to soften my hair and make itmore manageable. When I purchased this I had grest fait that it would work. To bad when i used it has a smell that made me nauseous and it didn't do ANYTHING. I was disappointed so i had to mix it with other products and til this day i still have it."
