Pros: gets hot and dries hair quickly!
Cons: heating element burns out after a few weeks :(
"Bought 3 THIS YEAR! Love the product overall. Heating element blew out each time after just a few weeks. I LOVE my Yellow Bird but I cannot afford to keep buying a new one every few weeks. I will be buying a different hair dryer when this one goes out."

"This blowdryer's controls were a little difficult at first, and it took a little while to finally get hot. But once it warmed up it got very hot! I love using the straigthening pik, and its my favorite color!
Gets as hot as dominican blowdryers, and is great for straightening my thick relaxed hair. The warranty is incredible also"

Cons: heavy, how come there as no gvp product of this unit

Pros: dries hair without overdrying
"I love my yellow bird!!!
I had my previous blowdryer for almost 15 years before it died. I didnt want to spend alot of money, but wanted something durable. Everone one encouraged me to check out "YB" at Sally's. I'm so glad I did. I have really thick hair, and it dried fast. I also love the cool feature. I'm so happy with my purchase!! I may buy another just to keep at my Mom's house."

Love the Yellowbird

Pros: cool option not just a cool shot button, different heat settings, hair pik, color, long cord!
Cons: none really could be a little smaller
"I love this blowdryer, when I was both natural and relaxed my hairdresser used this on my head. I remember this blowdryer did the trick!! I avoided it because it looked so heavy, but after 3 purchases and returns I decided to get the yellowbird. LOVED IT. It makes no difference that it isn't ionic. I am african american with thick hair and it is more about your blowdry TECHNIQUE. My hair is soft and bouncy, when I combine this with a flat-iron afterwards my hair SWINGGGGGGGGGS! For the monthly time that I use heat this is my go to appliance when I dont use a hooded dryer. Thanks Yellowbird!"

"This is a great dyer! My mother bought it when she was younger, and now I use it. It is definitely built to last! I am now a jr. in college and some of the girls in the dorm have used it and they also love it! I wish my mother kept up with the attachements b/c I need them! does anyone have attachments they no longer want or use! Please send my an e-mail at ms.avanta@yahoo.com! I am on a hunt for them. No one sells just the attachments and I do not want to buy another dryer for the attachements. Even though it is a wonderful product. I would def. recommend this dryer."

"The color & style of this hair dryer is what attracted me. Its an ok hair dryer which can get real hot at times. I prefer the Silver Bird, its what my stylist always used, I ended up returning this item w/ in a week of use."

"I purchased this dryer after an associate at sallys recommended it, plus my grandmother and cousins had the same dryer. I have natural, thick hair! I used this dryer after I shampooed my hair and sprayed Silk Elements heat protector spray AND I DIDNT EVEN HAVE TO PRESS MY HAIR as I normally do! All I had to do was flat iron and I was done! I recommend This dryer to ANYONE, it has different settings. This review is coming from a licensed cosmetologist"

"I purchased this dryer a couple of months ago. I really liked it. It dries my very thick hair quite quickly. Yesterday, when I turned the power button on, the button broke and the dryer jammed in the ON position and then the dryer started to smell funny. I really expected this dryer to last longer than a couple of months. I would think that a dryer that is labelled "professional" would be able to handle drying just one or two heads if hair a couple times a week. Who knows, maybe I got a lemon."

"This dryer is awesome!! Fast and effective. I especially love the straightening pic, it really does get you hair straight! And that is good for me because I have very thick and coarse hair and the pic helps to straighten my hair before I flat iron it so that I won't spend forever flat ironing my hair."

Great Hair Dryer

"I had this dryer for 5 years, It finally died last year and I have not been able to find another until now! I bought a $200 salon dryer. I took it back, just did not perform as well as my yellow bird. I am so happy to have found it again. I have very thick hair, takes over an hour to dry. This dryer is a life saver! Cuts my time in half. It is probably too much for thin hair, too much power."

"I bought this hair dryer for the family. We have went through 5 hair dryers in the past year. I have even pd as much as 100.00 for one. I am so happy I bought this hair dryer. This dryer is so sturdy and dries hair in a snap. You can't beat the price. My whole family loves the con pro yellow bird hair dryer. We also love the color yellow."

"Honestly, this is the best hairdryer I've ever used. And I've used plenty! I usually go through a hairdryer a year. I've had this one 3 years so far. And I'm going to buy another one this week just to put it away "Just in Case"!!!!
It gets hotter than anyother than I've ever used. And I need that for my bangs.

"I absolutely love this dryer! I went to Sally's a few years ago, hoping that I could get a better dryer for my money, but since most of the lower cost dryers looked the same to me, I mostly bought this dryer because of the way it looks. It's not that I loved yellow or something, I was attracted to it because I used to have a miniature toy version of this dryer, with the yellow plastic and blue and red levers, and I never realized that this blow dryer existed in real life! (It was a surreal experience indeed...)
Well, I got the dryer home and realized that I had lucked out...this dryer really works great. As the previous reviewers have mentioned, it gets VERY hot on the hot setting (which I need to get my hair to stay straight), but the in between and cool settings are very useful for styling, too. I also like having the concentrator nozzle to direct the air.
Overall, this is a great blow dryer for the price. I have owned it for about three years and have had no problems with it."
