Pros: heats up fast
"my hair is thick and curly, when i walk out of the shower. although it is short [around 3 inches past my collar bone] i do have a lot of hair and i have been in search for an iron forever! i used this at a friends house and i live in miami! humid, hot, crazy! i had my hair ironed all weekend without even RE USING it, it was pin straight, i went through humidity at its best, and heat at its best. and it was amazingly straight i got so many compliments. i then bought it myself a month later and i have wash my hair once or twice a week, and iron it after it dries that same day, my hair is healthy, shiny, and beautiful. i have mostly naturally hair [as in no dye] but i have highlights [with no bleach] on the crown of my head. my hair lasts me through rigorous dance class and now that it is winter it looks marvelous. it flows in the wind and it never stiff. i love it and have never bought something so worth it. not even a house! =D"

Cons: it gets very hot so mind your fingers
"This is the best present EVER! I was visiting my sister in New Orleans and the first thing out of her mouth when she picked me up at the airport was "what's with your hair?" It was so freezy, It was going every which way. The next day I got in the car with her to go to lunch and the iron was sitting in the car seat LOL. I thought "Oh great, another iron for my collection" Boy....was I wrong! I couldn't believe how my hair went from freez to sleek and it doesn't matter how humid is outside, your hair will stay beautiful. I thanked my sister a thousand times and told her I thought all the irons were made the same. It is easy to manage, it doesn't pull your hair, you can also use it to curl the ends. It's fantastic! I don't even style my hair anymore, I just blow dry it and use the iron. It saves me all back ache of styling while blow drying."

Wish I Knew About These Sooner!!!

"I just had to write a review about these flat irons!!! I'm an African American female who's been in search of quality/ affordable ceramic flat irons to create that "salon-look" from home. Don't be fooled by the cheap brands in Walmart or your local beauty supply. All ceramic flat irons are not the same!!! (trust me I have a short patch in the middle of my head to prove it!!) For anyone out there trying to create that "bouncy-salon look", go to Sally's and buy these flat irons along with a light heat protectant spray (Silk Elements and IC by Fantasia have worked the best so far), and see for yourself!!! I only wish I would've known about these sooner!!! By the way, I've noticed a drastic difference in the amount of breakage and shedding since using these. AND, I don't have to perm my hair as often either!! I used to get a perm every 6 to 8 weeks. Since buying these flat irons, its been 3 months and counting!!!!"

"I have never had my hair so silky and shiny in my life! I have natural curly, frizzy hair...I use to use the "maxi glide" and loved it..however it is very heavy and my arms kill me after doing my hair. This iron is fast light and easy...I have been straightening my hair for over 40 years...this is the BEST appliance I have ever used..I can not believe how fast and how shinny my hair is! A definite A++"

"I went shopping for a flat iron with my friend. She had just purchased a CHI for $120 and was completely unsatisfied! It had one setting and was nothing spectacular. I looked up some flat irons on this website and decided that this flat iron was the best deal.
She purchased this item for $59.99 and got a $29.99 curling iron for free! I went back the next day and bought them both myself!
I love, love, LOVE this product! My hair is naturally wavy, and super thick. I only had to go over each section twice, which is amazing! My hair was so shiny and soft, my BOYFRIEND even noticed!"

"Absolutely the most time saving and savvy piece flat iron I've ever owned. I personally bought a CHI flatiron through the salon I work at and I have to say, this flat iron is just as good or even better. The plates heat up evenly and fast, I even use the hottest setting and my hair is softer after I use it! I recommend this flat iron to all my clients."

"My flat iron broke about a year ago & i thought i was doing OK living without it. I was looking for a new blowdryer online when i thought i would cruise the flat irons. I read all the previous reviews on this product & you had me sold (thanks ladies). I picked it up at the store friday & havn't gone a day without it. How did i live without it so long?? Living in florida the humidity gives my hair a awkward wave and too much volume. Even with the humidity my hair is now straight, soft & shiney. AND i got a free blow dryer with it! Great product...Great buy!"

"I had previously purchased a CHI for over $100 and was not satisfied and returned it. I looked at Sally and found one with what I thought were the same features as the one I returned. It works very well. I have thin hare with little wave and like a straight shine in my hair. It heats up fast and does a great job. Worth the price!"

"I have medium to think wavy/curly hair - it's a mess! I've used it once and am TOTALLY IN LOVE!!! It only took about 5 minutes to straighten my hair, and I am always the last one ready! I must admit I was surprised that it wasn't all that expensive and it does an AMAZING job! My wavy hair is now stick-straight!"

"IMy natural hair is long and thick so a lot of times I don't like dealing with it. I recently added a weave w/virgin Indian hair for the curly look. I had my stylist blow dry and flat iron it so I wanted to be able to maintain it. I went to Sallys to get their Generic brand flat iron (GVP/GVS)($80) and found the Nano as the GVS was not there.. I was so pleased w/ my purchase!.. It was $59.99 and I also received a free ceramic Nano curling iron. I love the look and it was worth the investment !!"

"I have been in search of a good flat iron for sometime now. I have tried the CHI and the FHI (the authentic brands) Paid $100+ for them. Just to learn that Sally Jilbere' is the best!!! At the best price. I am a hard person to please, but I am sold on this!. Actually I used a friends babyliss and was in search of the babyliss brand and stumbled up on the jilbere'. They look exactly alike and work exactly alike. Very impressed. If you are looking for the top notch flat irons search no more. I have the thickest hair but after using these flat irons my hair looks naturally fine!"
