The best flat Iron around Date: July 17, 2008
"I have purched many flat irons and did not have much sucess in getting the look that we (my daughter's) and I were looking for, until now. My daughter's and I are of mixed race and have very curly thick hair. I was able to get some flat irons to work for me but with frizzy results, non of them worked for my daughter's hair they have more african american hair than I and this iron works wonders with they're hair as well as mine. It staightens with little effort and leave our hair shinny and frizz free."

I love this flat iron Date: July 9, 2008
"This is a great flat iron. I have long, thick curly hair and it only takes me about 20 minutes to iron my hair perfectly straight(using the highest setting). I run it through the section of hair maybe twice. It stays straight for days (although i do have to touch it up on the ends a bit each day). It also does not snag and pull my hair as others I have purchased. My daughter uses it and she has thick layered hair and it works great for hers. When used with a protection product, this flat iron is worth every penny and an excellent alternative to a Chi which is triple the price."

you get what you pay for... Date: June 17, 2008
Pros: it was free with my dryer
Cons: snags hair, plates don't touch completely

"i got this flat iron free with the matching tourmaline dryer. i've had it about a year now. the plates themselves are fine, but my hair gets snagged between the plates and the plastic housing. the iron is cheaply made, and it didn't take long for the handles to become warped so that the plates no longer clamp flat together."

So Much Better Date: May 27, 2008
Pros: it's pretty, t glides through easily, it heats up fast and cools down fast too
Cons: it might snag if your ends are uneven, might snag if going from natural color to color, treated hair

"Ok I bought one of those cheap $15 "ceramic" plated irons and it was great until the plating started to come off and snag my hair. I decided to go to the store and buy this one because it was ceramic/tourmaline and was about $49. Sometimes you have to spend more for better results. It came with a sample of 'One 'N Only Ceramic Silk Thermal Protection Flat Iron Creme' that works along with flat irons. Lo and behold it made my hair beautifully strait and shiny especially with the sample that came with it. Since my hair is naturally curly it takes about 3-4 passes through each section of hair. MY hair also stays strait when its humid/wet outside. IT also heats up and cools down fast which it an extra bonus. Had it for about 5 months and it still works."

Better than my CHI irons! Date: May 17, 2008
Pros: really get hot, not much work needed, adjustable heat setting

"I recently purchased these irons and tried them out on my cousin. She is African American and has never relaxed or used any chemicals in her hair. We previously used my CHI irons that were a bit more expensive and no where near as effective in making her hair sleek and shiny. These irons can get hot, but you are able to adjust the settings-not with CHI. My cousin's hair was shiny, bouncy and bone straight. Looked like she just got a chemical relaxer! I LOVE these irons and highly recommend them!"
